release from agony
Fiora slays a Telethia.
The Gigas Telethia groans its final breaths, all three of its heads dropping like when Fiora had been a little girl and watched a performer in the Colony cut the strings of their puppet. Its great body falls, too, collapsing with a mighty thud.
Fiora moves to its side. Her trembling grip is iron-tight on her dual swords.
One of its heads shifts. It has no eyes, but it's like it's looking right at her. Fiora thinks of Nemesis' helmeted face. Thinks of her grip shaking, silent pleas for help.
"Sorry," she whispers, her voice thick. "Sorry. I'm so sorry."
