(Gala could feel herself wilting, if involuntarily.)

"What? You're a chick," this was admittedly true, "and it's like 'sweet pea', except a little less sweet. And, you know, it's actually a pea-" "Legume..." "-instead of just a flower."

Gala sighed (again). "Sweet peas have seeds too. They're from the Fabaceae family." Even Bart's most overpowering tangents couldn't stop her from pushing up her glasses, metaphorically speaking, about plants.

Even Gala's greatest glasses push couldn't stop Bart from forging (-plowing-) ahead. "Yeah, but chickpeas are actually cute. Like you!"
