As humans go, Shulk is quite simple. Boring. Pale, and flavorless. Taste-bud-less, too.
To an outside observer, anyway. Someone who doesn't know his passion, his confusion, his righteous anger and his sheepish shame.
As Alvis goes, Shulk is incredible in every way: for his boringness, for his incredulity.
Shulk is an example of all humanity - of all Homs. He is, of course, also an individual. In all of this, he is an immensely fascinating individual.
