It's not a new idea. The theater of war creates all kinds of new and unexpected relationships - breaks them, too, and the really special ones come beautifully broken right out of the box.
Maybe it does the same for the people themselves, or maybe they just look a little different in the grim OR light.
Just when you think you're getting to understand it, it's over, and it's never the same.
Does it matter? Does it have to be?
