He hasn't changed.
The way he carries himself - she can tell, the way he sets his shoulders, even in that big coat - and the way he speaks.
The way he draws conclusions.
It's not a bad thing. No one should change that much between 27 and 37, and on the flip side, if he truly hadn't changed a bit, she wouldn't have felt as though she were reaching out to him from the past.
But she let him be the one to fight, there at the end.
And she won't deny that she's glad he did.
