Few and far between are the days this exchange brews itself in malice, the Driver surpassing the Blade and vice versa; Minoth has had aches for years, years, years, and he's far more used to them than Addam, even as Addam was such an earnest, hardworking farmer.

It's not as usual, in fact, but he doesn't say so. He's not quite sure what Minoth would do about it, anyway.

Spin him a last story? Beg him a last kiss?

Whatever it is Minoth's living for, he doesn't exactly need Addam alive to do it.
