Though she knew she couldn't be blamed for lateness on a deserted island, Ginger didn't exactly expect a warm welcome. Yet:

"Oh, Ginger, you know I'd wait forever for you."

The award-winning comeback was easy, as she swept a careful, adoring finger along the slit in Mary Ann's skirt. "Of course you would. It's not like you've got anywhere else to go, is it?"

Mary Ann huffed a faux-exasperated smile. "Yes, but I could hide out on the other side of the island if I were really that annoyed."

"Oh?" Now, the feigned innocence. "Wouldn't you get lonely without me?"
