FLORA !
So you see, I'm fighting just as much for my family as I am for Torna.
The unseen and rarely even spoken of Lady Origo has been a topic of much debate ever since the release of TTGC. Yet, even when I joined social media and fandom communities, I found myself never quite involved in any real quandary. I simply thought she might be sweet, and smart, and even a little cunning, and quite happily paired with both her husband and his dear friend Minoth (or as many other ladies, if one so chooses). Here is a collection of all things Flora, for your perusal and enjoyment.
Statistics, and Such
Full name: Flora Evelyn Hentisane-Origo. Born March 17, 3541, in the Tornan province of Heblin, to Aren and Leila Hentisane. Blue eyes. Height: 5 feet 2 inches. Weight: 129 pounds. Left-handed, with an affinity for the Ice element and its corresponding Truth virtue. In battle, rare as those occasions might be, she is a Healer. She is 23 at the time of Torna: The Golden Country's present-day events, with a 16-year timeskip in You Drivers Do Have Your Uses, I Suppose. The milfification of Flora Xenoblade must be soon…
Sexuality/Identity
As noted above, she's bisexual and sapphic! Her resort skin is Luna Lei Flora. She is also often depicted as a trans woman but I play with that depending on the exact family setup I'm going for (who has the babies, when there are babies, etc.). She and Addam/Minoth generally have two children, Alexander Hugo and Evelyn Lora. Whether or not they're twins, Xander is older than Evie, in however many contrivedly tragic ways. Flora is an incredibly loving, though reserved (relative to Addam, for instance), person.
The Kiddos
They're classic fankids in every way - Xander with ashy brown hair and freckles, golden eyes; Evie with crown braids and olive skin, blue eyes. Xander's besties with Lora and loves Meats (Sweet Feris Dumplings) and Scripts (Beyond Endless Dunes), crafting Charms. Evie's besties with Haze and loves Seafood (Caramelized Seafood) and Charms (Hollow Charm), crafting Talismans. Since Azurda becomes Xander's Blade in YDDHYUIS, he completes the loop, enjoying Veggies (Bonytongue Casserole) and Talismans (Unforgettable Talisman), crafting Fragrances. Evie's battle kit is based on Roc's, though I've never formalized it, since I'm pretty sure she wouldn't use the scythes.
Favorite Items
Flora's favorite item categories are Veggies and Fragrances. Her favorite items within those categories are Pickled Purses and Winterwind Perfume. In general, she loves pickles - the Energy Pickles were not just a pregnancy-craving fluke! Her crafting type is Food. Is that too basic? It's a skill regardless, even nonetheless. Yes, she is a mom, and she takes care of her friends. She loves knitting, too…
In terms of other favorites, she's been assigned a wide variety of silly-guy Blades; besides Minoth and Mythra/Pyra, she works with Dromarch, Boreas, Ursula, and Roc. I'm sure she would even get along well with Dahlia.
Arts
I have written or will write (have planned) pieces titled after each of Flora's battle Arts, named and structured in the TTGC style. I have not yet developed a skill chart for her! We're getting there. Her attack effects were also developed with only one effect per Art, not because I wanted her to be simpler than the other characters but because I wanted to make the process simple for myself, as I transcribed all the YDDHYUIS characters' kits into a spreadsheet. These are serviceable, still.
