on power

guardians and mentors have chosen their duty: to show young people that they care, they matter, the beacon goes onward. the light forges on across the sea.

so if you are a guardian, a mentor, is it ever in your best interest to impress upon the ward, the mentee, the fragile youth, just how much you...don't care?

indeed, you're carefree. you're unbothered. you're impregnable.

but love is a tremendous power. and we, perhaps, misuse it, if we believe the principle instruction is not to care. hardly anything merits. you're only in earnest about being straight-ahead. that's all.

nothing's ever as important as i think it is, is it?

if we choose to forget that we are the makers of our own importance.
