Inner Child, Independence, Solipsis

You know you're not special, right?

I am so sorry
So very sorry
But I must keep living
and living, and living

I must tell you news
and perhaps olds
I must tell you
There are fine things in the sea

I must apologize for that in me which is creature
I must excuse and obfuscate that in me which is needs
and as needs must, so I must, I must, I must, I must

I say things to make you concerned about me
Not to do it, but I do

I speak endlessly
(it's because I've lived for so short a time)

what a comfort, that we are here for such a short time
what a comfort, that distance is endless

(I mean more broadly; my problems are so small not in the universe but in its every other creature
I need not apologize because we will be separate again, before long)

and neither death shall bring us nor life shall have some divine reason
to ordain annoyance in repetitive rhyme

We must spend time apart
Our basic function is time, apart

From us, units that track our own paths
Any intersection too long, and we've stopped moving

I am as sorry to come as I am to go
but I must keep living, and living, and living

It happens whether you're watching or not
(Thank God !)
