Hylia (Legend of Zelda)/Rosalina (Super Mario Series)

Hylia (Legend of Zelda), Rosalina (Super Mario Series)

Prompt Fill, Stargazing

[Day 20 - Constellation]

"And each constellation is a group of your children?"

"Those who have departed and become something greater, yes. When a star, a galaxy, a universe eventually folds and reforms, it is reborn as a Luma. Then, the cycle continues."

Hylia smiles. Of course. "Not that Lumas are not already great."

Beings of curiosity and innocence, but above all a boundless determination and hunger to expand. "In their own right, they proceed."

The stars twinkle patiently to attend at this conversation of the goddesses, caretakers of the natural world and its inhabitants. Whether they are Lumas ascended or the trails of creation left glittering in the sky, they streak paths of intercalation and newfound order as old as matter and rhyme.

Hylians have never wondered nor wanted for much, among the stars. "And my children... My children are people with long ears, the better for to hear me. Their peers regard it as a blessing. I sometimes wonder what the boon can truly be, if I am yet so far away."

(A self-report, isn't it? Why would you intimate that you cannot hear, that you do not listen? But the Sacred Realm is a place of infinite access, dependent upon a point of power and wisdom for those with the courage to see it revealed in time of need.)

"Do you visit babies, when they are born?"

Rosalina is present at the birth of every Luma. Even when she is a galaxy away, she is there with them.

"Do they become invested with my light, do you mean? I suppose so - every parent who births a pointy-eared child will exclaim it, and I know of this joy, so I suppose I am there."

Rosalina breathes deep, watching with single unguarded eye. "The stars are a tapestry as rich as that life on planets below us. I remain here with them, for that is my place. But Hylia..."

It's not that Hylia would rather stray from her people. Rather, earth is lonely, without a companion.
