No matter the locale, their feelings remain the same.

"I like being alone," Minoth said. It felt like something he'd said before. Actually, it felt like something he'd thought before. Now, it wasn't quite so much a part of him. He could separate the feeling from himself and observe it, regard it, poke it and see if it sprung back.

Flora, ever the patient and considering mind, nodded to hear it. Valuing your personal time was a very natural, human thing, especially for someone who'd been raised, functionally, for that express purpose. Stay alone. Stay aloof. Stay watching.

"But if...if they sent me to the moon, if they blasted me off to another planet or a desert island..."

But it couldn't stop completely, because humanity knew that they were far from the only mechanisms in motion, to say nothing of other sentient races and beings.

Minoth loved people. He did. He thought they were fascinating, their stories endearing. But for himself and his personal affairs, he couldn't say that he'd want to go on, without Addam and Flora.

"We'd be out there somewhere," Addam reminded him. "I'm sure of it."

They were strong, all three of them. They were smart. They'd probably be of great use to any relocation effort, with their infinite individual talents. Some military experience, or else work with vulnerable populations. Crucial stuff. And then, to find each other...

Like magnets, ignorant of every lightyear, they'd cling.
