On Archiving

Hello! Thank you for your time in reviewing this message and all of the other work you do for the Internet Archive. This is not a formal GDPR request concerning personal data. Instead, this is an optimistic request from a writer concerning control over the presentation of my work.

I have a attached to this email a list of URLs I would like removed from the Archive, as applicable. They are primarily text pages of creative writing (fanfiction) or tweets concerning the same, hosted on my accounts on various websites. Some posts with images (my art, in many cases) likely contain embedded resources with URLs that do not follow the patterns in my list, so if the entire snapshot is deleted at once, that works well. I absolutely understand if not.

Obviously I cannot request the removal of Archive of Our Own pages that display my works as tagged or filtered search results among other users' material, and I do hope my request is more reasonable / less obnoxious than such, but I post(ed) my writing to that website as a means to share with others who would access it directly, not as a public commodity to be archived in perpetuity with snapshots taken at arbitrary intervals. I have endeavored to read what is available about the Archive's policy/stance on internet posts as a public good, but please do let me know if you have anything else relevant to hand.

The fact that the Internet Archive does possess copies of my work in any of their possible iterations without my direct consent or knowledge causes me considerable anxiety, so I'm hoping this is the correct avenue to seek. I have discontinued posting on Ao3 but certainly do not wish to have my personal Neocities subdomain archived, if nothing else.

Date ranges: I would like my pages excluded for all time. I have owned these accounts since 2023 (Neocities), 2022 (Tumblr), and 2021 (Twitter, Ao3). To my knowledge I have been the only owner of each.
