There's elocution, and then there's Masha-cution. She talks with more frills and flutters than Melia ever has, and even more 'n ol' Minoth, in his fresh-again young age.
Nia can't help but compare to others she knows; it's always what she's done, to suss out what she's feeling from what she's meant to and what she ought, and what the difference between all those is, anyway.
The difference with Masha is that she's nothing to do with the Vandhams (not directly, least) nor anything all that critical with the City's Moebius movements.
She's just a lovely treat - a gem, indeed.
