Spock always works at a desk. Always.

He has perfect posture. He cannot work while horizontal. Therefore, he must work while vertical. So he always works at a desk.

(Any bending over console or in chair is...circumstantial.)

However, recently his deskwork has come to present a problem in logistics.

If he is not reclined at the proper angle atop his bed when Jim enters with intent to slide in next to him and wrap warm hands around his chest, everything will be skewed.

Spock misses his arm, away around a golden shoulder.

But it's not too bad. Not always.
