Melia's relationship with Triton was an interesting one. He'd, of course, long abandoned any activities that would give him reason to present before the eyes of the simulacrum queen, and neither did any of the other Consuls particularly relish the prospect of reporting on him, once it became clear that complaining would net them nothing. She knew of his existence, however, and did harbor a curiosity about him that could only be satisfied by a visit with the man himself.
