Tenderness, Celestial Symbolism, Rhythm, Rhyme

that it is not an imposition, nor a responsibility, but some kind of privilege, all right

i couldn't help but to hear what was said
what we did, when we hoped, but we cried instead

and i sang for you, my heart panged for you
the bells of my distance arrang for you

to be the satellite that ever hums
like harpstrings infinite, universe thrums

i'm meant to be this way, and true
i'm meant to be this light with you

i'm meant by the heels of my ichorous hands
bent to the wheels of seasons and lands

rolling from green into black unto white
roiling empyrean other-side knight

asteroid driftway will find time to shift lanes
to open the path for the birth of the sea

defying cosmology to speak of ontology
seven solids, and heavens, and goodness

and me.

quite fragstreamed, my memory
that sad gleam, ephemery

the criss-cross of lip gloss
brought starboard by coin toss

pure chance make pure chance
the kuiper-tight belt dance

twinkling of an instant
- you only get one glance

one astronomical oddity
for duological philosophy

now three gardens afar mend
the kites of four are-friends

the holographic starchart
sun-is-broiling char start

the coronary halo-mary
matrimonial mortuary

it's all just so brilliant, so one-in-a-million, this spacetime cotillion in comets' pavillion,

but it's only atmosphere, happy that we are here
happy to do it, to serve you, to drive and steer

(stop . stop)

that if it were not so, i wouldn't complain
i'd settle, and semble, another refrain

but if this solar table sets us unable
if we are planetary steed-us in stable

this is my enormity
my orbit turning sad

and as the sun to the moon did say
let us be not just happy but glad
