Edeni (Metaphor: ReFantazio), Euphausia Etoreika, Protagonist | Will

Timeline What Timeline, Lesbian Will

dedicated to me being Wrong

My brother, the mustari chieftain, Eupha had said. Despite the image that such a strong, proud word would usually evoke, Will imagined someone gentle, short, with soft features and carelessly swept-back hair like his sister - just as Eupha's helm was thick and solid and a little plain, yet delicate. Of course, the bangs were shorter to accommodate the third eye, but still. She so seemed the type to resemble her older sibling completely, didn't she?

Someone short like Eupha would be just Will's height, but someone tall would be...well, just a little bit taller. Will couldn't say she didn't anticipate that.

And then there was Edeni. Tall, covered in rigid rectangular patterns and an absolutely impregnable helm that evoked castle ramparts. Tights cuffs on upper and lower arms alike highlighted lean, toned arms. Both hands and feet were well-groomed, pleasant enough to behold.

This all must have been the façade required to shield a round face framed by dirty blond, wavy hair; a gawky island boy's armor against the persecution of the santicentrist world. Or, it was the proud expression of gender defiance from someone with the boldness Will always wished he'd had. That would be nice.

Edeni was much more than pleasant enough to behold, however. She was otherworldly - say, striking.

Will was all too eager to believe her eyes, though, and less so her ears. So when Edeni spoke...

Well, that denied the mullet and carabiner in one. Will wished, now, that maybe they could have met Edeni first, not knowing who - only what, or...what? - he was in the slightest, and not spoken to him; if he could have seen, and imagined, and carried on in his blissful sapphic euphoria until well beyond dragons, Drakodios, Virga, Eupha.

That still left Eupha, though. Wonderful, innocent Eupha. And Edeni had said to bring her back. So Will, never one to deny the orders of such a fantastic-looking le- ah, gay man, would bring her back, indeed!

Solidarity, you know. Only right.
